General

Covid-19: what are the measures?

Code yellow in Belgium:

  • Mouth mask only mandatory in healthcare and public transport
  • No PLF within the EU
  • No Covid Safe Ticket

In case anything changes: a few days before arrival, our guests will receive arrival information, which will also include the measures in place at that time. However, you can also find in advance, a lot of information on government websites.  For the Corona FAQ click here.

Do I need to book in advance?

Generally, advanced booking is not required. Because we have a high occupancy rate, especially during the holiday periods, we always advise you to book in advance to avoid disappointment. If you wish to arrive after 17:00, reservations are required in all periods. Arrivals after reception hours are possible up to 21:00 but only after confirmation of the reception.  Please inform us of your late arrival in advance.

What are the cancellation conditions?

When you book with us, our general terms and conditions apply. You will find these at the bottom of our website, they can also be seen during online booking aswell on your booking confirmation.

Are dogs allowed?

When travelling with your own tent/caravan/folding trailer/camper, pets are allowed on a leash (max. 2 per pitch). This is not possible if you are renting an accommodation.




What time is check-in and check-out?

Pitches: Check-in between 13:30-17:00 and check-out between 09:00-11:30. Rental accommodation: Check-in between 15:30-17:00 and check-out between 09:00 and 10:30. Earlier check-out is possible by prior arrangement from 7:30 am.

In the period from mid-July to mid-August the reception is open until 19:00 on Mondays and Fridays.  If you want to arrive after the opening hours of the reception, this is possible until 21:00. This is only possible with prior reservation, in which case you must inform us of your late arrival.



I am coming with several cars, where can I park them?

One car per reservation can be parked on the campsite.  One additional car can be parked in the car park at the entrance of the campsite.

For loading and unloading you can swap cars. Our barrier works with license plate recognition. Therefore, in order to gain access to the campsite, you must give the registration number to the reception during check-in.

Am I allowed to receive visitors?

Overnight visitors are allowed only by prior arrangement with the reception. For the comfort of all guests, we do not allow unlimited visitors. By agreement, guests must report to Reception on arrival on order to pay the guest fee and the tourist tax per person. Visitors may stay overnight at yours, they may not use an additional tent on your pitch.  If you only receive visitors during the day, they too must report to reception on arrival and pay the visitor's rate.

Is barbecuing allowed?

The use of a barbecue is permitted. During a very dry period we do ask you to refrain from doing so. A campfire is obviously never allowed.

Can we reserve/choose a pitch number?

Preference for a certain pitch number is only possible for pitches with private sanitary facilities. The costs for a preferential reservation is 25.00 € per reservation.

For the other pitches: You can indicate a preference of position or row, we always try to take this into account as much as possible. There is no charge for this, but we cannot guarantee it, as we try to respect the wishes of all our guests. However we will always arrange for two pitches to be placed near each other.

Are young people or groups welcome at the campsite?

Due to the family nature of our campsite, groups and teenagers travelling alone are not permitted during holiday periods.  If the group in question fits in with the target group of our campsite, we may permit stays in quiet periods.  This is only possible if the peace and quiet of the campsite can be respected.

Are you accessible by public transport?

Yes, there is a bus stop right next to the campsite. However, the public transport network is not really good in our area. We recommend that you inform yourself in advance about the timetables: www.letec.be

Is there Wi-Fi available at the campsite?

In front of the reception you will find a WiFi Hotspot, you can use this for free with your e-mail address or facebook account.

Are there charging points for electric cars?

yes, therefore it’s prohibited to charge your e-car on your own pitch or at your rented accommodation.  
There are two charging points for electric cars at the campsite (see number 5 on our camping map). More details and price info will be given at the reception.

Is there any animation at the campsite?

The camping facilities as well as the surroundings offer a lot of entertainment for both children and adults.  If children's entertainment or music in the evening is very important to you, our campsite is not the right one for you, as we do not offer it.

When will the swimming pool be open?

The swimming pool is always open from Ascension Day until the end of August. For the exact dates, please go to our website.

Do you have a minimarket?

No, but in St. Vith (5 km away) there are four supermarkets of well-known chains.  However, you can order online oven-fresh bread, rolls or cakes directly, daily delivery, from the baker to our breadstore.

Are you open in the winter?

The campsite is open from 1 April, or earlier if the Easter holidays begin early. The campsite closes after the Belgian autumn holidays at the beginning of November. For the exact dates, please check our website.

Can we hire bikes?

You can rent bicycles and e-bikes at the tourist information office in Burg-Reuland: www.reuland-ouren.be. A little further on also at AT Bike in Waimes: www.atbike.be.

Camping

Is showering included?

5 minutes of shower time per person per night (= € 1.00) are included in the camping rate for all persons over 4 years.
You can purchase additional shower time for € 0.20 per minute at reception. Hot water in the baby room, as well as at the washbasins or for dishes is free of charge.

Do you sell gas bottles?

At the reception you can exchange Antargaz Take5 bottles as well as Campinggaz (blue bottles) (empty for full). You can also buy a Take 5 gas bottle (5 kg) and pay the contents and a deposit. This gas bottle has an external thread.


Do you have seasonal pitches?

We do not offer pitches for longer periods.

Where can I park my trailer?

It is best to park it on your pitch. (After consultation with the reception and depending on the season, you may also park the trailer in the car park near the sanitary building).

Rentals

Do you have sheets and/or towels for hire?

No we do not have sheet or towel packages. You'll have to bring your own.

Can we book a final cleaning?

Yes, this is possible and can be booked directly at the time of reservation, the cost is € 45.00. For a weekend stay the cost is 30,00 €.

May we put a tent next to the rental accommodation?

No, In order to keep the lawn beautiful for the next tenants, it's not allowed to place tents.
